Our Wine Portfolio

Burgundy
I first visited Burgundy back in 1999 during my first trip to France with my dad. It’s the region that he loves the most, and for that reason it’s a place that will always have always have a special place in my heart as well. I have always felt that there is something mysterious and almost haunting about Burgundy. I get this feeling everytime I drive north from Beaune and see the village names on the road signs while peering to left at the Côte. Nuits-St-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, etc. This is the most specifically-named region in all of France, and the names themselves remind us of our experiences with the wines of that place. I couldn’t be happier with the producers that we represent here, and I’m proud to introduce many of them to the United States.
Languedoc Roussillon Region

Languedoc-Roussillon
The Languedoc may be one of the more difficult regions in France to find quality producers because there is more wine made here by volume than in any other region. You really have to work hard to find your way to the right guys. As far as personality, the region is marked by abundant sunshine and an often very-strong wind called la Tramontane. Ripeness, therefore, is usually not a problem, but elegance is sometimes more difficult to obtain. We are lucky to have found two very fine estates to represent here: Château Montpezat and Domaine du Grand Planal.
Rhone Valley Region

Rhône Valley
Some of my favorite wines and favorite people are in the Rhône Valley. After starting this company and on my first buying trip to France in January of 2011, I began my journey in the Rhône Valley and, with the help of a very dear friend, signed up the first growers to be a part of this portfolio. Châteauneuf-du-Pape has since become a home base of sorts when I’m in France. Furthermore, the provençal attitude and way of life really attracts me, just as the soul of the wines made there attract me. From the brilliant, fresh roses in the summertime to the way a great bottle of Châteauneuf pairs with lamb and roasted vegetables, I find so much enjoyment from the wines made here. I hope you discover and embrace them as I have.
